Smart Tactics: 

Man what to write. I’m not feeling inspired or encouraged today. The market is down, things are slow right now for the summer, and it’s REAALLY hard to maintain a positive “let’s keep grinding” attitude.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting tired of the grind, the hunt, the constant fight for business. I just want it to be easy. I just want success. I want the success I see on the internet, on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.

I tell myself that’s not reality and that success is not easy. But my subconscious sees all these posts and videos where people are either alluding to or outright saying that they have it all figured out and that they are enjoying easy and never-ending success. So in the back of my mind, I want what I see. My conscious, aware mind knows it’s not true, but my subconscious feelings want that picture they are painting. I know it’s a trap. I know it’s mostly lies, half truths, and embellishment, but man it would be nice to have that too.

Okay, back to reality. It’s Monday as I write this. I have to get back to finding team leaders who need help leading. I need to find agents who struggle with having enough leads to talk to, knowing what to say to them, and need help with how to be a productive and consistent sales person.

I have to get back to the grind.

I have to remind myself that my team and I have helped thousands of agents and team leaders over the years. We haven’t gotten it all figured out. Success isn’t a golden fountain that we’re splashing around in…not at all. It’s a slow, steady march. Continuing to improve our content, our training, our guidance, and keep up to date with where the market is at and how consumers are thinking.

I know one thing. There’s one strategy that has helped me every time. This strategy has helped me get through the last two real estate market downswings, and I’m betting it will help this time, too.

The strategy is: I have to get more contacts and improve my systems for finding and staying in front of leads and prospects who need the help that we provide. That’s the one thing.
