Smart Tactics: Selling real estate is simple, but not easy. It is a grind, and in order to do well and make an obscene amount of money, your agents have to consistently do the hard work…over and over again. One of the most important elements I found for my own success is having a community of others to lean on. Do your agents have a community of others all doing the same thing? Do they have other real estate agents, either in your market or online that they can network with, compare numbers with, and learn and share strategies with?
When I got started in this business, one of the big factors that helped me immensely was having a regular group of other agents that I roleplayed with several times a week and a small group of agents in my office who prospected with me at the same time each day. It wasn’t perfect, but it helped a lot. Staying focused on doing the hard work of making contacts, generating leads, and booking appointments can be very tiring. Also, sometimes you just don’t win. Sometimes you keep striking out and don’t get any wins. It can be very tough to keep pushing on through those times. But if your agents have a group of people who bring a measure of accountability to each other…it will help them through those tough times. It will also help smooth out the production roller coaster that is so common in our industry.
There’s an easy way to find community.
We have one for our coaching company. But if you are not currently a client, there are several other places you can go to find others who are regularly lead generating and would likely welcome your agents.
- Lab Coat Agents – the largest online Facebook group for agents. The community is massive, so you might want to just have your agents post for other agents looking to roleplay and lead gen together (on Zoom or Google Meet).
- Your CRM/Website provider – All of the major CRMs and website/lead providers have their own Facebook group/user communities. This is a great place for your agents to find others just like them.
- Your own office or team or your local market – there may already be a group of other agents banding together to help each other stay on track and sharpen their skills. Start asking around and see if you can get your agents connected.
This is just one more strategy to push you and your agents closer to your goals.
